This sweet little one was my model for the day. Everything about him is wonderful. His coos and cries just melt your heart! Oh, that fresh baby smell and that soft skin. I can't get enough! I do love babies! I look forward to snuggling this guy any chance I get! Here are a few of my favorites.

a returned love affair
Hello spring! It seems that you are coming early this year. The grass is growing, the flowers are popping through the dirt, and a sign of pink blossoms are upon the branches of the trees. Even though you are a month early, I welcome you! We are about to gaze on your beauty once again.
I have to admit that one thing we missed was the snow. Over the weekend we went up skiing and rekindled our love for the sport. It was like riding a bike. Everything came back after the shaky anticipation to start. I was a bit eager and buckled my boots way too tight. The pain I felt as it cut off the circulation to my feet was excruciating. It felt like skiing on blocks of ice. Sweet relief came after we loosened up the bindings. I could feel the warm blood return to my toes, thankfully!
We will make time for more skiing. We will make more time for skiing!

Testing 1 2 3

So this is basically for my own benefit. Don't get too excited. I wanted to see how the watermark looked made in Lightroom. They really didn't make it easy, but with my Dad's help there is a way. I'm sure with a little more tweaking I'll figure out how to move the watermark to the bottom of the photo. But, this will work for now.

Streets
Practice, practice, practice.
I was trying to follow through on a weekly assignment. And as luck would have it I cannot for the life of me remember my password to enter the site. Well the assignment was “Streets”. I think I picked something kind of fun. One, because it’s dark out and I’m limited to the kind of street I could photograph. Two, I worked all week and just want to be a homebody. Can you really blame me?! So I will have my camera on me tomorrow and get some real shots, but for now this will just have to do.

My heart goes out my some friends of mine with a sick one year old. He's having some kidney problems. I wish I had the cure for them. We'll be praying for you Maxwell.

Art
Ok so I'm pretty excited about making my own art for the walls. Not only do I save some money, but I get to show off my prints. Being a photographer sure has it's perks. Here is what I put on the walls. Sorry I don't have all of them listed. I have to read up on watermarking photos in lightroom. Boy, that would save me some time.

This second one is not actually up just yet. I am looking for 8x12 frames. This seems to be a harder task than I thought it would be. Next time I'll go for the 12x18. I wanted a print that wouldn't have an extra crop. Ho hum. The hunt is on.
Tomorrow I have a maternity shoot. So I'm in brainstorming mode. My batteries are charged. My backdrops are washed. The house is almost clean. I think I'm ready! Happy Weekend!

The Wedding Expo in Seattle
Here's our display at the wedding expo this last weekend! It was a success as far as trade shows go. Now we will be busily following up on our free giveaways and potiential clients. This new display seemed to catch the eye. We'll probably be adding more photos to it next year. Oh, and if you can see the little boxes on the table. Those were for the brides. They had ring pops in them with a coupon. There were tuxes and gown boxes. And you'll never guess where they were found. They were at the dollar store of all places.
Somebody fix this girl's shirt for Pete's sake. Yep, that's me.
This was my first time at the show. So I was pretty excited to be there. If was funny to find out how many brides were from my hometown of Woodinville. In fact, that cellar next to us was from there too. I can't wait to go and sample their wine. Someone take me please! I promise to behave.
One thing I did forget to do at the show was to get a photo with the Michael Jackson impersonater. He was amazingly his twin. Almost an exact match! Wow!

Woodpeckers and a Wedding Show
So I'm a fan of nature. I love animals. I would never want to harm an animal, but this one has got to go. He is pecking on our house and driving us crazy. Ahhh, isn't he so cute! What do I do to get rid of this guy? Do I just wait it out and see if he picks another tree or home to demolish. Or do we have to resort to a Bee Bee gun? Suggestions are welcome! This link has a coupon for the show! Two for one admission there!

Ok, next on my agenda will be the Seattle Wedding Expo. This is my first time going. I am pretty excited about it. Please stop by our booth if you are there! So many Brides so little time! Check out this link for a coupon that entitles you to two for one admission.
